Past Events:

Oktoberfest October 12-14, 2007: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Oct 12-13-14 we manned our booth at the Chamber's Oktoberfest event. We continue to educate Ramona with these public appearances. Most everyone was aware of the effort, and the feed back from most everyone ranged from skeptical to absolutely positive. Of course, there were a couple of folks that just scoffed with no specific objection when asked why. It was a lot of fun as well. Director Paul Tarr won the drawing for a smaller version of the metal sculpture monument that will be installed at the corner of HWY 67 and Highland Valley Rd. by Leslie Souza. The Ramona Trails Association was responsible for commisoning the monument. It is plasma cut steel depiction of a horse standing against hills with a blazing sun and hawk on the wing. It is a beautiful rendering of the Valley of the Sun. Paul is stoked!

Kick Off Celebration August 15, 2007: Our "Kick Off" Wednesday night at Cheers was a success in several ways.  While the turnout was under 100, we had the opportunity to discuss the many issues concerning incorporation one on one with a number of folks.  It also gave us a deadline to procure our shirts, banners, 14' portable event sign, and branded materials. Subsequent articles in the Sentinel last Thursday have grabbed many folks attention.  I have received 5 calls inquiring about incorporation.  Most have been framed around a specific subject, or issue.  I have explained that it is really about self determination and allowing only Ramona citizens make the decisions that effect us all.
